Nazis As Far As The Eye Can See

So, here’s and observation that I made based on recent events.

On Monday, January 20, 2025, Elon Musk appeared on stage at the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C., where supporters of the newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump had gathered for a rally.

And this happened:

A very deliberate and perfectly timed Sieg Heil

Make no mistake, Musk is a very clever person. He would not be the world’s richest person if he wasn’t. Everyone knows that he knows what he’s doing.

Now, several thoughts came to mind, but one stood out: how will the Prime Minister of Israel respond to this?

Well, he responded exactly as I thought 🙂

Netanyahu posted the following comments on Twitter defending his “friend” Musk:

@elonmusk is being falsely smeared.

Elon is a great friend of Israel. He visited Israel after the October 7 massacre in which Hamas terrorists committed the worst atrocity against the Jewish people since Holocaust. He has since repeatedly and forcefully supported Israel’s right to defend itself against genocidal terrorists and regimes who seek to annihilate the one and only Jewish state.

I think him for this.

This is important. Ask yourself: why is the Prime Minister of Israel not bothered by a Nazi salute that was broadcasted across the globe?

These are the things that make me go hmmm…? ?

So that’s the Israeli Prime Minister. What about the world’s leading “anti-hate” organization, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL)?

The ADL describes itself as “the leading anti-hate organization in the world”. On it’s website, the ADL says that “it’s timeless mission is to ‘stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all’.”

This was the ADL’s response to Musk’s salute:

This is a delicate moment. It’s a new day and yet so many are on edge. Out politics are inflamed, and social media only adds to the anxiety.

It seems that @elonmusk made an awkward gesture in a moment of enthusiasm, not a Nazi salute, but again, we appreciate that people are on edge.

In this moment, all sides should give one another a bit of grace, perhaps even the benefit of the doubt, and take a breath. This is a new beginning. Let’s hope for healing and work toward unity in the months and years ahead.

Three days later, on January 23, Musk posted on Twitter:

Bet you did Nazi that coming ?”

A few days later, on January 25, 2025, Elon Musk made a surprise appearance during Germany’s AfD (Alternative fuer Deutschland) election campaign event in Halle in eastern Germany. Addressing a hall of 4,500 people alongside party leader Alice Weidel, Musk said the following:

“It’s good to be proud of German culture, German values, and not to lose that in some sort of multiculturalism that dilutes everything,”

There is too much focus on past guilt, and we need to move beyond that, children should not be guilty of the sins of their parents, let alone their great grandparents,…”

No big deal, right? Just a little racial purity comment, that’s all.

Musk made these comments days after his Sieg Heil. But a few days before that, on January 9, 2025, Musk hosted a live chat with the AfD’s frontwoman, Alice Weidel, giving the AfD a chance to access a wide international audience. Roughly 200,000 users logged on to listen.

Ask yourself, why would he do that?

Like I said: very deliberate and perfectly timed Sieg Heil.

You tell me.
